Terms of use
Version of 2026-10-12
Draft: this text has not been reviewed by a lawyer yet, and details in square brackets will be filled in before the public launch.
These terms apply to the use of Revlog, provided by [Company name and legal form] ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them.
1. The service
Revlog lets you record the history of your vehicles (services, modifications, fuel, costs, documents and files), plan maintenance, receive reminders, and share or transfer a vehicle's history.
2. Closed beta
Revlog is currently in a closed beta. Signing up requires a personal invite code. Features may change, and there may be interruptions or errors. We welcome your feedback. Using the beta is free of charge.
3. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old. Provide accurate details, keep your password and passkeys safe, and tell us if you suspect that someone else is using your account. Each account is for one person.
4. Reminders are an aid
Reminders and due dates are calculated from the information you enter and the maintenance plans you choose. They don't replace the manufacturer's instructions or legal inspection deadlines. You remain responsible for the maintenance and roadworthiness of your vehicles.
5. Plans
The Free plan includes up to 3 vehicles and 1 GB of file storage. A paid Pro plan may follow; we will tell you its price and terms before anything becomes payable, and nothing will be charged without your explicit order.
6. Your content
What you enter and upload remains yours. You grant us only the rights we need to store, process and display it to provide the service to you. You may only upload content you are entitled to use, and nothing illegal.
7. Fair use
You must not:
- attack, overload or circumvent the security of the service;
- access other people's accounts or data;
- use the service to store or distribute unlawful content or malware;
- access the service in an automated way beyond normal personal use.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation, especially during the beta. Keep your own copies of important documents; you can export your data at any time.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise our liability is excluded.
10. Ending the contract
You can delete your account at any time in the settings. It can be restored for 30 days, after which all data is permanently deleted. We may end the contract with 30 days' notice, and immediately for good cause, such as a serious breach of these terms. We may end the beta; we will tell you in good time so you can export your data.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for valid reasons, for example new features or changes in the law. We will inform you in the app; you will be asked to accept the new version before you continue using Revlog. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
12. Final provisions
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected. Should a provision be invalid, the rest of these terms remain valid.
